Throughout history, people often select where they want to live based on the natural resources thatare available in the area, like food sources such as fruits, vegetables, and animals that can be hunted.

A region's natural resources determine its people's living ways. For example, regions with rich soil.can support farming societies. Regions with poor soil often send people to look for better places or attractpeople with other purposes for the land, such as setting up businesses or factories. Sea regions can use thwater to help them move goods to other areas.Desert people have many unique foods, which cannot befound in the forest. Each area develops its own way according to the local resources.

Areas that have rich water resources will naturally have more people. Traditionally, villages, townsand cities built near water have been the most successful. People there are able to use the water resourcesto meet their daily needs. Although life in places that are hard to reach is not convenient, the tourism canmake them develop.
