Some years ago, on a hot summer day, a little boy decided to go swimming in the oldswimming hole. We are glad that you are interested in joining our Volunteer Fire Department!Any person is eligible to apply for membership provided that he or she is at least sixteenyears of age.

Previous firefighting experience is NOT required to apply, but we also encourage andwelcome those with previous experience to join.

There are three types of membership:Active Members: 

Active membership is for those applicants who are interested in becominga firefighter and/or EMT(急救医疗医生) and participating in fire/rescue activities. All applicants over the age of eighteen are eligible for active membership. All active members in the department are required to attend fifty percent of` scheduled department meetings and training each calendaryear.

Student Members: Applicants who are sixteen years of age or older and are currently

enrolled in high school are eligible to become student members.

Associate embers: The department also accepts applications for associate members.Associate members are those who are interested in assisting the department with fundraising and special events. Associate members do not participate in firefighting and rescue activities, nor will they be required to receive any fire training.
